The network market has evolved significantly over the last ten years, the technology has dramatically changed with regard to speed, security, mobility and business reliance on networking.

Having been involved in the convergence of voice and data networking from the very start Unified Group identified early in 2005 that there was a need to completely refocus and re-define our business model to provide customers and partners with the correct support and services required in a truly converged network environment.

Technology has evolved and product has become inheritably more complex, with this change services and support of the converged infrastructure has also become much more complicated. Customers have also evolved, they have typically chosen their technology provider yet are being driven by their business to offer more features and capabilities with a limited resource.

With the limited converged skilled resources available in the market it was also felt that Unified Group should develop a partner focussed business that could offer our services to partners that wished to offer our unique services to the market.

Unified Group created two main businesses; Unified Networks Services Ltd, to focus on the provision of solutions to our customers, typically the larger companies and organisations in the United Kingdom and Achilles Professional Services Ltd (APSL), who offer our services to partners.
